My journey to becoming a mental health therapist started in my home country Brazil where I earned my B.S. in Psychology. I knew from a young age that I wanted to listen to others stories and help with their suffering.
Shortly after graduation I moved to the US to have new experiences that could enrich my mind and soul. In Colorado I earned my M.A. in marriage and family therapy and mental health counseling. In the last 10 years I have worked with people struggling with addiction, couples in high conflict relationships and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma.
In the meantime while learning from clients and becoming more experienced I built a family of my own. My husband and I have two adorable and energetic young children. We love enjoying the mountains in beautiful Colorado, although my favorite place in the world is still the beaches in Brazil.
I love being part of someone’s journey of growth and change. I believe that the healing process begins with a professional relationship between client and counselor. A relationship built on respect, acceptance, and trust.
